Vitelco Employees Federal Credit Union was organized in 1979 by the employees of the Virgin Islands Telephone Corporation. VEFCU has grown over the years to offer membership to employees of ViPowernet,Tv2, Innovative Wireless, Innovative Communications Corporation, Innovative Business Systems, Innovative Cable TV, Atlantic Telenetwork and the Daily News. Family members of employees of the above mentioned companies is also eligible to become members of VEFCU.

VEFCU has maintained a gradual but steady growth over the years. Potential for growth has increased tremendously with the ability to now enroll family members into the fold of VEFCU. This untapped market for growth will be pursued as VEFCU maximizes its potential in membership numbers.

Service Excellence:
The Board of Directors and the management team at VEFCU are committed to meeting our members financial needs to the best of our ability and within the guidelines of the National Credit Union Association.

Vitelco Employees Federal Credit Union books and daily operations are reviewed on a minimum of once a year by a Federal Examiner from the National Credit Union Association. An external and independent auditor conducts an audit of all VEFCU financial books and transactions and on an annual basis.

The Credit Committee is comprised of three members and along with a loan officer reviews and approves or rejects loans on a daily basis.
